PAULINE FRANCES NOWAK
Pauline Frances Nowak, her chosen name, a child of Buffalo passed on February 4, 2016. She lived a full life marked by achievements and joy. Wherever she went, wherever she lived, and whomever she loved, she brought her Buffalo values with her. Care, concern, and putting the needs of others first. She was a pioneer as one of the first women to attend the University of Buffalo Law School. She was at the forefront of racial and economic equality. She followed her ideals and values and worked for successive political administrations to solidify and accomplish goals to improve the life and plight of others. Along the way, she raised three children, Mr. David Christopher Joseph Trezevant, Mr. William Francis Trezevant, and Mrs. Danielle Amaris (Trezevant) Kenny. She believed that anybody and everybody, regardless of circumstances or status, could be better and could do better. She is survived by her three children: David C.J. Trezevant, a prominent member of Washington D.C.; William F. Trezevant, Esq., a Buffalo attorney; and her beloved daughter Danielle A. (Trezevant) Kenny and her husband Kevin S. Kenny and their five children: Mariah A. Kenny, Lauren T. Kenny, Sierra M. Kenny, Addison R. Kenny, and Isaiah M. Kenny. We welcome you to join us for a Memorial Mass for Pauline Nowak at St. Thomas Apostle Church, 2665 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, DC 20008 on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. The family will welcome guests immediately following the Mass at 1834 Ontario Place, NW, Washington, DC, 20009. Pauline’s wishes, and the family’s wishes, are that in lieu of flowers, gifts, or cards, that each of us “pay it forward” in your own community in a way you see fit. She would want all of us to make other’s lives better. She is loved and sorely missed.
